Definition of Careers in FST

 

Partners involved:

ESAC (WP leader), UCAPOR, ULBF, FEVIA, ainia, UPVLC, CUB, NTUA, UNITE, FIPA, IFA, UNILEVER.

WP Objectives:

The main objective of this WP is to promote Developments for the regulation of food science and technology professions in Europe.
This main objective can be broken down into the following four objectives:
• Examine and determine regulation aspects in the food profession.
• Producing recommendations for the regulation of food professions.
• Establish existing FST career paths; and evaluate the influence of training.
• Evaluate if actual career paths meet the actual European job market needs. 

Description of work:

This WP will examine and determine regulation aspects, including what needs to be taken into account in the regulation of the food profession (Task 2.1), what are the positive aspects that can be attained with the regulation; establish existing FST career paths (Task 2.3); compare these with recommended career paths (from WP1) (Task 2.4) and determine what one must be careful about when implementing the regulation and producing recommendations for the regulation of food professions (Task 2.2). 
The results will be part of the ground work for WP3.
